Can you please check the web server logs? The error I found is "cURL error 28: Connection timed out after 1001 milliseconds". It may because of server firewall settings.

I tested the import demo on a different server and it works. I tested on yours and the error points to admin-ajax.php file. Can you ask your hosting provider to give access to it. Due to security concerns, hosting providers sometimes are blocking the access to it.
